Enriched Air Diver
Dive for longer!
Want to be able to stay down in the underwater world for longer? The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course for exactly that reason.
Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.
What you will learn
Learn why diving with Nitrox (air that has a higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content) gives you more bottom time and shorter surface intervals, along with how to plan Enriched Air dives to get even more out of your dives. The course includes:
- PADI Enriched Air Manual
- Practical gas analysis and theory session
- Your Enriched Air PADI Specialty Certification Card.
During a practical session, and 2 optional scuba dives, you’ll:
- Discuss managing oxygen
- Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank
- Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox
What you will need
Most modern scuba equipment and dive computers can be used with enriched air, but your PADI Instructor will let you know if your gear meets manufacturer recommendations and local requirements. However, scuba tanks must meet oxygen service standards and be dedicated for use with enriched air.
To enrol in Enriched Air Diver course you will need to have a PADI Open Water Diver certification and be a minimum of 12 years old.
