Ready for the plunge? This is where Diver certification begins. PADI’s Open Water Course is the world’s most popular and recognised scuba diving course. With no prior experience needed, we are ready to help you dive into a new world.

Course Details

This is where it all starts, done over 3 days this will give you the skills and knowledge to experience more of what the ocean has to offer and allow you the opportunity to do other scuba courses to increase your skill and knowledge level. Once completed you will have earned a dive license that will allow you to dive down to 18 metres all around the world.

What you will learn

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of 3 main phases

  • Knowledge Development to give you the basic principles of scuba diving this is online and can be done at home.
  • Registration, equipment fitting and learning the basics in the pool
  • Open water dives to practice and refine your skills with your instructor.


What you will need

Bring with you swimmers/bathing suit, towel and sunscreen.

You’ll be using all the basic scuba gear which can either be rented or purchased depending on your preference. This includes a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, regulator (delivers air), buoyancy control device (BCD), dive gauges (to monitor depth and air supply) and a tank.


To sign up for the Open Water Diver course you must be at least 10 years old. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, but you will need to be of physical health and a capable swimmer.
